If you want a Richmond proposal location that is intimate and picturesque, consider Brown’s Island along the Jame’s River!
This summer, I hid in the rocks by the water, tucked away on the south side of T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge (which is the official name of the pedestrian bridge that runs parallel to the driving bridge on S Belvidere Street).
The bride-to-be is a good friend, and her then-boyfriend is someone I grew up with outside Washington, DC! Small world! He contacted me and we executed the perfect Richmond proposal, along with the incredible collaboration of his sister!
One of the reasons why I love Brown’s Island as a Richmond proposal location is how you get incredible views of the city in the background. It is the perfect blend of city meets nature! While myself and the groom-to-be’s sister had to politely shoo away some joggers from our prepared spot, overall this location provided the privacy and picturesque view perfect for a proposal that honors both city and nature!
These two’s Ethiopian-American multicultural wedding is coming up soon in October (shout out of gratitude to the Lovings!!), and I am so excited! They are going to be such a stunning couple and I am excited to see their two cultures come together for their celebration!
