Old Town Alexandria: Emily & Tyler Elopement

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of capturing Emily & Tyler’s small wedding in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. They gathered with immediate family and picked a stunning spot by the water in Windmill Hill Park off Union Street. It was one of those November days that was 70 degrees with no wind (and no funny smells coming off the Potomac River!), so our water-front location turned out to be the most gorgeous ambiance for their little celebration.

I LOVE big weddings and the fun that massive parties bring, but there’s something so intimate and special about elopements that helps you hone in on just the couple themselves, the vows they’re making, and the incredible reality happening before your eyes of their going from two individuals to one new family.

We enjoyed portraits around the waterfront and also ventured closer into the main streets of Old Town Alexandria! I could photograph couples around this area for hours!!
