Main Street Station: Celebrating Seven Years!

Love

One of the joys of moving to a new city as a wedding photographer is the freshness of new locations for photoshoots and weddings. And oh my goodness, does Richmond have a plethora of amazing spaces to choose from!! The scenery of Brown’s Island, the regality of the Jefferson Hotel, the edgy fun of Shockoe Bottom murals… It is truly a city that has something for capturing every kind of couple’s photography desires!

Why Main Street Station Is a Favorite Richmond Photo Spot

One of my tip top favorite locations in downtown Richmond is Main Street Station. I shoot there as much as I can, and love the mixture of beautiful architecture and fun city life that surrounds the Station. From classic to creative, you can capture couples of all personalities in super stunning ways at this venue.

A Styled Shoot Celebrating Seven Years of Marriage

When friends and fellow church members, Josh & Justina, jumped to do a styled-shoot for me last month, I knew I had to take them to Main Street Station.

The front entryway of this train treasure just makes my heart sing!! Love those stone walls! And aren’t Josh & Justina just the most stunning???

Capturing actual wedding days is a delight, but there’s a different kind of special knowing Josh & Justina are celebrating seven years of faithful marriage this year! Their love has been through a lot, and they still keep fighting to champion the best in each other! Such an encouragement to this five-month-old newlywed!

Endless Photo Options Around the Station

One of the reasons I love shooting around Main Street Station is how many OPTIONS you have outside the venue!!! The angles in front of, across the street, around the corner… they are numerous and make for a fun variety of photos!!

Soaking Up the Downtown Richmond City Feel

I’m all for mountains and fields of beautiful portraits, but give me a fun downtown like Richmond any day and I will go ham with photos like these!! Gah, love the city feel!!

Phewww… This Virginia wedding photographer knows it is such a gift to be in new to a place that keeps leaving you in awe of its innumerable locations for photo magic! Scott & Shannon, Elsa & Caleb, and others (more to be posted here soon!) are just the tip of getting to showcase beautiful people in this beautiful place I now call home! Can’t wait for more to come.
